Carmen Kovàcs Krent
Hungarian - American pianist was born in Budapest.
Carmen has been passionate about music since she began playing the piano at the age of seven, later studying at the Bartók Conservatory of Music [1990-1994] and then continuing her university studies at the renowned Franz Liszt Academy of Music State University in Budapest, Hungary. [1994-2000]
During her studies, she had attended master courses by world-famous Professors:
- Dimitry Bashkirov, Royal Academy, Madrid
- Diana Andersen, Royal Academy, Brussels
- Valery Szervanszky, Royal Conservatory, London
- Imre Rohmann, Mozarteum Salzburg
- Thomas Ungar, Fort Worth University (USA)
Carmen graduated with honors as a concert pianist and teacher, receiving her master’s degree in 2000.
Throughout her career, she has competed and won numerous competitions such as the National Hungarian Young Pianist Award / 1992/ and the prestigious Gino Gandolfi, Italian Parma International Piano competition /1998, in the youth category.
Carmen performs concerts worldwide throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East (Dubai, Doha, Bahrain), and North America as a soloist and chamber musician.
In addition to her concert performances, Carmen has been requested to play for ambassadors, diplomats, and leaders of the industry, and at international festivals (Budapest Spring Festival, Keszthely Summer Festival …)
She has recorded in Japan, Hungary, United States and has been featured in interviews and performances on the Hungarian National Radio and Television Network.
Carmen enjoys playing from the famous classical repertoire, as well as new age, contemporary, and movie songs.
She also gives private piano lessons in Orlando, Florida, where she teaches students of all ages and levels.
